April

22nd - International Earth Day
• Environment Alert! (KS2): Through voicing their concerns at the ‘Earth Summit’, your children will engage with environmental issues and be empowered to think about what action they can take. Read more.

 

May

8th - Victory in Europe Day
• Second World War (KS2): Immerse yourself in the blackouts, rationing and evacuations of Home Front Britain as your class imagine life as children during WW2. Read more.
12th – International Nurses Day /
Florence Nightingale's Birthday
• Florence Nightingale (KS1): Travel with Florence Nightingale to Scutari hospital, while exploring her childhood memories and nursing legacy. Read more. 
• Mary Seacole (KS1): As Mary shares her stories and explains the challenges she faced, your children will help the famous nurse set up the British Hotel. Read more.  
• Inspiring Women (KS1 & KS2): Inspire pupils with the lives and legacies of Frida Kahlo, Rosa Parks and nurse Edith Cavell. Read more.
 
19th – National Numeracy Day
• Times Tables Rock Stars (KS1 & KS2): Our Rock Scout is on the hunt for Times Tables Talent! Using drama games and activities, this lively assembly is designed to enthuse your budding maths rock stars! Read more.
17th-21st – Walk to School Week
• The Quest for... Road Safety (KS1 & KS2):
With our Knight of Knowledge, explore who uses the road, how to cross the road safely, and learning about being street wise. Read more.
 

June

Crossing Continents and Oceans (KS1): Accompany the Earth Explorer on a global expedition, traversing the five oceans and investigating the climates and landmarks of the seven continents. Read more.
 
22nd – Windrush Day
• Quest for Windrush (KS1 & KS2)Recreate the journey from Jamaica to England, from packing your suitcase and saying goodbye to loved ones to boarding the ship with Lord Kitchener. Read more. 
 

July

 
7th - World Chocolate Day
• The Quest for... Chocolate (KS1 & KS2): Our Knight of Knowledge leads this fun and educational adventure to learn more about chocolate and how it is produced. Read more.
14th - Bastille Day
Whether you're teaching French to little ones of Key Stage 3 pupils, we have MFL workshops to help all primary ages develop their language skills. Explore our MFL workshops series.
