Oliver Twist workshops for Dickens 2012 celebrations
Next year sees the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens, and in celebration, City Read London is campaigning for the whole of London to read one of Dickens' most famous books, Oliver Twist, during April.
We're excited to join the celebrations with our drama session, The Quest for Oliver Twist, where children between the ages of 5-11 can come together to explore the dark Victorian London setting, the enchanting characters and the twists and turns of the plot in an interactive and engaging workshop which can take place in your library.

All year round!
We’ve got a number of fantastic story workshops to inspire children to fall in love with stories and reading. How about Stories from Africa or A Caribbean Story for Black History Month? Or The Rainbow Fish and Where the Wild Things Are for World Book Day? And our Early Years' Story Hunt workshops are perfect for introducing 3-5 year olds to storytelling.

Every year, we also offer a drama workshop especially for the Summer Reading Challenge. Find out more here.
For Museums
Our workshops can bring history to life, whether the children are meeting a historical character like Florence Nightingale or roleplaying life as an evacuee in our Second World War workshop.
A drama workshop could be the perfect complement to an exhibition at any museum.
