Florence Nightingale's Birthday

Every year, since 1965, Florence Nightingale’s birthday on 12th May has been commemorated as the International Day of Nurses. It is a day when nurses celebrate the sharing of medical knowledge, and the general public celebrate nurses and how much they do to help us.

Have you been following our 'Medical Mondays' campaign on Twitter? We've been sharing a host of focus days and workshops we can provide to support them. We have three fabulous workshops about historic female nurses. As well as a number of health focussed interactive or story based sessions.

This Nurses Day, your class can learn about the challenges that nurses from the past faced. Our Inspiring Women workshop features Edith Cavell and is available for large groups. Otherwise, have Florence Nightingale herself visit KS1. For London schools Mary Seacole is also waiting to share her story!
